Bray

John M. Bray

Dr. Bray returned to his hometown of Pensacola after receiving his medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine. In addition to his role at Pensacola Lung Group, Dr. Bray also serves as the director of the Adult Cystic Fibrosis Center in Pensacola, and is the Director for Critical Care and Respiratory Services at Sacred Heart Hospital. Dr. Bray has been recognized by US News and World Report as a “Top Pulmonologist in the US.”

Dr. Peter Bercz has been a physician with Pensacola Lung Group since [year], and has special expertise in navigational bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound, interstitial lung disease, and COPD management. He prides himself on providing excellent patient care in a compassionate, competent, confident, and communicative manor. As a son of Hungarian immigrants, Dr. Bercz is fluent in the Hungarian language. He enjoys cycling, physical fitness, and spending time with his wife of 17 years and three children.

Dr. Enrique Diaz

He served as the Medical Director of the Lung Transplant Programs at the University of Kentucky and the University of Alabama in Birmingham (UAB).  Dr. Diaz also trained in the management of ECMO (an artificial lung technology) and helped develop the ECMO program at the University of Alabama and at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola.

Dr. Diaz is currently associated with the University of Alabama at Birmingham as an Associate Professor of Medicine, he joined the Lung Group in Pensacola after many years of successful academic activities, he has more than 50 peer-reviewed publications in medical journals and has participated as a speaker in numerous national meetings in the field of Pulmonary Medicine.  The Lung Group, under the leadership of Dr. Diaz, is proud to bring ECMO services for patients in the geographic area. Dr. Diaz specializes in the management of Interstitial Lung Diseases, Pulmonary Hypertension, Lung Transplantation and Advanced Lung Diseases.  He is currently accepting new patients.

Dr. Aaron Brooks

He completed his internal medicine residency at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth, MS and continued with his pulmonary and critical care fellowship at OhioHealth in Columbus, OH.

As a contemporary pulmonary and critical care physician, Dr. Brooks is trained to perform a spectrum of bronchoscopic and critical care bedside procedures. His care philosophy is listening and learning from his patients to meet them where they are in their care and developing a care plan to improve their quality of life.  Patients can be assured they will get the best care for their particular need.

Dr. Brooks moved to Pensacola in the summer of 2024. He enjoys traveling, reading southern literature, and spending time with his nieces.

Dr. Jordan Minish-Pron

Dr. Minish-Pron is board certified in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Medicine, and board eligible in Critical Care Medicine, through the American Board of Internal Medicine. She holds certifications in Medical Education and has several Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine society affiliations.

As a contemporary Pulmonary and Critical Care physician, Dr. Minish-Pron is trained to perform a broad spectrum of bronchoscopic and bedside procedures. Her care philosophy is listening to her patients to help get to the root of their medical problems, treating the patient as a whole, and taking care of patients in the manner she would like her family to be taken care of. Patients can be assured they will get the best care for their particular needs.

Dr. Minish-Pron lives in Gulf Breeze, Florida, with her husband, Greg, son, Eli, and their many pets – two Great Danes, Ducky and Joey, and two cats, Big Kitty and Bug Bear. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, collecting and hybridizing tropical plants, and riding horses.

Dr. Bijal Patel

Dr. Bijal Patel joined the Pensacola Lung Group after completing her Internal Medicine residency and Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine fellowship at University of Florida Health-Jacksonville. She earned her medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2018. 

Dr. Patel is board certified in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine. She practices general pulmonary and critical care medicine with a particular interest in asthma, interstitial lung disease, and pulmonary hypertension. She is trained in advanced bronchoscopic procedures including endobronchial ultrasound. 

Dr. Patel is committed to providing excellent patient care and advocacy. She aims for her patients to always feel heard and involved in their medical treatment.  In her free time, she enjoys traveling, physical fitness, and spending time with her family, friends, and dog (Niko).

Dr. Justin C. Reis

Justin C. Reis

M.D., F.C.C.P

Dr. Reis is passionate about lung cancer management and is credentialed to perform nearly all advanced bronchoscopic techniques. He also serves as the medical director of the ECMO program at Ascension Sacred Heart.

When not working, Dr. Reis enjoys spending time with his wife, Starr, and their four children. He loves vacationing and hiking in national parks and is an active member of several car clubs, participating in car shows and multiple track events throughout the year.

Sean Roark

Sean Roark

M.D., F.C.C.P.

A Gulf Breeze native, Dr. Sean Roark will be returning to the area to practice pulmonary and critical care medicine in November 2018. Dr. Roark spent 11 years in the US Navy as an active duty physician, caring for many of the wounded from the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. His goal is to help his patients overcome the difficulties of illness by providing skilled medical care in a compassionate manner. He is a member of the American Medical Association and board certified in internal and pulmonary critical care medicine.

Dr. Luis Murillo’s training in pulmonary medicine has taken him all over the United States and Mexico. Dr. Murillo is board-certified in sleep medicine, critical care, pulmonary, and internal medicine. He has done extensive research in cystic fibrosis, and has previously served as the Director of the Adult Cystic Fibrosis program at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.
